A little early for the Christmas spirit, perhaps. But nearly no one this year seemed too festive with Halloween. There were virtually no decorations, almost no Jack O'Lanterns, and alarmingly few trick-or-treaters. The ones who did come by didn't spend much time or money on their costumes, it seemed. There weren't really any marathons or Halloween commercials on television that I saw, either, and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because it's usually so easy to get pumped up for. Not this year. I'm getting a jump on Christmasy stuff because I don't want this holiday to go under celebrated. What can I say? I'm a holiday person.

This image came by accident. I saw my cat sitting at the sliding glass door looking out and noticed how lovely his bulgy curves and fluffy fur seemed, and I just had to sketch lest I forget what it looked like. The sketch sat there a while before I decided to do something with it and as I scanned it, I got the idea to do two cats sitting in the window. After that, the entire picture fell into place. The two cats are my own, Georgie (big and black) and Bourbon (small and white).
