Movies

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 29, 2008, 9:18 PM
  • Mood: Worried
I just watched Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd and I really liked it! I wasn't sure if I would, but it was among four movies my ex (wow, it's so hard to call him my ex. I keep calling him my boyfriend still, but he's not. It's so weird making that transition...) and I picked to rent and watch together (the other three being Balls of Fury (didn't like it), American Gangster (haven't watched it yet), and Spider-Man 3 (we both liked it, but it was very uncomfortable in how closely the relationship between MaryJane and Peter mirrored our own)). Have any of you seen it, and did you like it if so? What are some of the recent movies you've seen? What movies are coming up that you want to see?

NEW POLL!

Do you believe ghosts exist?

As for what I mean by "ghost," it would be however you personally define the word. For some, it may mean the spirit of a deceased person. For others, it may mean a random apparition. It's just whatever the word "ghost" means to you.

I've seen Sweeney Todd, and it was pretty good. I found it awfully gruesome, though!
The last movie I saw in theaters was Superhero Movie, which was OK. The last movie I saw outside of theaters was Space Jam. And the one I plan to see in theaters next is Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay.

Yeah man!! Sweeny Todd was the shit!! :D I thought it was very well done!!
Hmmmm... that is sad (and kinda spooky) about the Spiderman 3 movie and your relationship... :S that was a pretty cool movie, but I didn't like spiderman when he was being mean... :P

Do you believe in ghosts, Cheska?? and what do you consider to be a ghost??

American Gangster is seriously the best film that I've seen in a really long time. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Hmm, I do believe in ghosts, and I tend to think of them more as spirits of people who have passed on that are either stuck in the world and not moved on yet, or just passing back by for a little while. :)

I didn't enjoy the graphic scenes of it, but the fact that the blood looked very unrealistic helped me get through it. Aside from the brutality of it, it was a very dark, deep, twisted, almost romeo-and-juliet story. I liked it a lot! Space Jam was good!
