When I was younger (not so much these days) I used to look a lot like Sarah Gilbert. I was thinking about this a couple of days ago, and it got me wondering. What if a star emerged in Hollywood who happened to resemble you a lot? I mean, a whole lot, to the point people were coming up to you and asking you for autographs. Would this ruin your life? Would you enjoy it? Would you play along and have fun with it? Would you try to change your look to avoid the mobs?

I would probably find it a bit interesting at first, but it may start to get old after a while. And it would be awful if this new celebrity did something unscrupulous that pissed the public off. You'd be taking the heat for it! So, what do you think you would do? How would you handle it?

Perhaps it's wrong and maybe it's why so many countries are in such bad shape, but I just can't bring myself to be interested in politics. It's mostly because I think of them all as corrupt, superficial liars, which I hate. I can't say that I'm too interested in celebrities' lives either, but I would rather read about what hot water celebrities have gotten into rather than what hot water my political leaders have gotten into. The reasoning behind this is most likely because if a celebrity gets in trouble, it doesn't negatively affect me, whereas if a political leader gets in trouble, there's a good chance we all have to suffer some consequences for it. I guess as it stands I have to check being equally uninterested in both.
