Hi, all!

My birthday is coming up May 26th! And I would loooove a very special gift from you all. It's cheap and it's easy. Do you know what I want? No, no, not a prostitute, though those are indeed cheap and easy. What I would like for you to do is to go to your local animal shelter and donate something.

NOT MONEY.

Please do not donate money to any organization. I don't trust that it will get where it's supposed to. I think cash just pads wallets. Donate shampoo or food or brushes or nail clippers... anything you can think of that they might need. Or you can just ask them what they need. Nothing would make me happier than knowing some animals are being taken care of when they might not otherwise be. Or you can donate something to a charity or cause of your choice. I am just particularly fond of animals. :3



Okay, now, onto something that is both awesome and bad. I was to stay home today so that I could sign for a package, and I knew it was something my boyfriend had ordered for me for my birthday, so I tried not to look, but the fuggin' label was RIGHT THERE on the bloody box and I couldn't NOT see it.

See, I had originally said, "Please just help me cover a visit to the eye doctor and get new contacts" because I'm almost out of contacts and they were expensive. So he said sure, that would be fine, but he wanted to get me more. I insisted contacts were a great enough gift, but he wanted to do more. So, I said, "All right, well, Bourbon (one of our cats) has almost chewed through my WACOM cord. If you really want, you can get me a new cord for my WACOM tablet."

Kenya believe it? He dropped $2000 on me! I dunno what to say! I'm touched and shocked and so grateful! I feel so spoiled! But I also feel really, really terrible that his surprise was ruined. I was trying so hard not to look, but the box was so big that I had to lift it with both hands and drag it inside, and when I looked to place my hands, there the label was, staring me in the face. >_< I feel shitty that the surprise is ruined because he kept saying, "Oh, I can't wait for your birthday! You're going to love your surprise!" And now... argh, why would they put the damn label right there? Don't they know people order this stuff for surprise gifts?!

But, anyway, I just wanted you all to see what an amazing boyfriend I have. This is also a very practical gift, since my line of work can't be done without a tablet. This is really truly amazing and I was not expecting this at all. I love my baby. He's such a good man, always so thoughtful and caring.
